More Than Just Bingo: Investing in Our Community's Future

While winning a fabulous new purse is certainly exciting, the true purpose of this event goes far beyond the prizes. Proceeds from Purse Bingo will support the Potter County Education Council's youth programs and our continued efforts to expand educational opportunities throughout our rural communities.

The Potter County Education Council is committed to helping young people develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills they need to succeed. Through our Youth Leadership Program, students have opportunities to strengthen their leadership abilities, develop important life skills, build confidence, and discover the value of community involvement. These experiences help prepare our youth to become engaged, responsible, and successful members of their communities.

Our Career Mentor Programs provide students with valuable opportunities to explore different career paths, connect with local professionals and businesses, and gain firsthand insight into the working world. By introducing students to career possibilities and helping them make meaningful connections, we strive to inspire them to explore their interests, recognize their potential, and make informed decisions about their futures.
The Education Council also offers Youth Summer Camps, providing children and teens with engaging, hands-on learning experiences outside the traditional classroom. These camps encourage creativity, exploration, teamwork, and the discovery of new interests while introducing participants to educational and career-related opportunities in a fun and supportive environment.

Beyond our existing programs, the Potter County Education Council is working diligently to develop additional initiatives, expand our partnerships, and bring new educational experiences and resources to the region. We recognize that living in a rural community can sometimes limit access to certain opportunities, and we are dedicated to helping bridge those gaps. Our goal is to ensure that local youth have access to meaningful experiences that encourage them to dream big, explore their potential, and build successful futures.

Every ticket purchased, every game played, and every contribution made during this event helps us continue that important work. By participating in Purse Bingo, you are not only enjoying an afternoon of entertainment but also making an investment in the next generation of leaders, professionals, and community members.
